Stephen Pointer joined Roffe Swayne in December 1999, starting out in the audit and accounts department, following obtaining his ACCA qualification, Stephen went on to specialise in private client tax work.
Over the years Stephen has built up a varied portfolio, including private individuals and a range of trusts.
It is in particular trusts that Stephen has developed a key interest in. This covers all aspects of trusts including inheritance tax planning, income and capital gains tax planning and FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) reporting requirements. Stephen is also able to help with the registration of trusts with H M Revenue & Customs, preparation of tax returns and reporting requirements for trust beneficiaries.
Outside of work, Stephen regularly plays 5-a-side football, enjoys watching cricket, going to concerts and taking part in quizzes. Over the years Stephen has been a regular member of the Roffe Swayne quiz team at various events, featuring in the winning team on a number of occasions.
