RS Corporate Finance advise on another international deal
For 85 years we’ve served clients from a base in Godalming – we work with many local businesses and their owners and we are proud of our long local history, further evidenced by our commitment to many local organisations such as IOD Surrey, local charities and schools.
It might be easy therefore to pigeon hole us as a local firm for local business and people are often pleasantly surprised when they learn we actually have around 100 staff with dedicated specialist teams, such as our corporate finance offering, RS Corporate Finance. We think we punch well above our weight!
As an example of this, we were delighted to recently work with our long-standing client SpatialBuzz on their sale to US business Ookla, a subsidiary of NASDAQ listed J2 Global, Inc.
Based in Guildford, SpatialBuzz’s patented solution combines real-time subjective customer feedback with device radio measurements to help operators find, prioritise, and fix network problems more effectively.
We’ve acted for SpatialBuzz for a number of years helping with accounting, valuation and tax advice.
Peter Young, CEO of SpatialBuzz commented:
“M&A puts significant additional demands on a business in terms of workload and specific expertise. SpatialBuzz leveraged Roffe Swayne’s financial, tax and deal know-how throughout the process. They were there every time we needed them and provided us with intelligent, well considered, pragmatic work. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.”
Chris Brazier – Director in RS Corporate Finance, who led our team said:
“Reflecting on this transaction brought to focus that roughly half the deals we advise on have an international element. Cross border M&A and tax advice are, in fact, a core part of our local offering and we’d welcome no obligation conversations with anyone who is approached or is considering a transaction regardless of the relative geographies of the parties involved.”
