We seek long term relationships with clients so we can develop a clear understanding of their needs and aspirations. We pride ourselves on being accessible to clients and provide proactive advice relevant to clients’ circumstances.

We provide a range of tax structuring and advisory services in addition to managing all UK compliance reporting for clients. We are members of an extensive international network enabling us to advise and manage arrangements for clients with international needs.

Family office support

We look after a number of family offices, managing the family’s financial needs and estate planning and acting as Power of Attorney when required. For family offices operating investment or trading companies, we can act as a ‘virtual’ Finance Director for these entities, providing accounting services, financial advice and tax structuring. We can also advise on tax efficient charitable giving and act as advisers to a number of family charitable trusts and companies.

Our Forensic accounting team is frequently engaged by both individuals and their lawyers to advise or act as an expert witness in relation to matrimonial and shareholder disputes, as well as personal injury claims and disputes arising from corporate transactions.

If you are getting divorced and need to appoint an expert to value a business you may find our litigant in person’s guide to single joint expert appointments helpful.

Our Tax advisory team provides support in relation to capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning on divorce and often acts as expert witness in relation to tax matters as required.

Case examples:

We act for a wealthy private individual who operates an investment fund and independent family business. We advise the individual and their family on tax structuring and compliance reporting both for the UK and their wider international issues. In addition, we have assisted in negotiations on commercial agreements as well as managing the individual’s investments and banking relationships.

One of the family offices we act for runs a philanthropic foundation which provides school places for deprived families for whom we act and advise, as well as four other businesses ranging from energy supply to investment concerns. We also provide wide family investment advice and coordinate all legal and investment needs.
