As a firm we like to challenge the team with an annual charity fundraising event of one sort or another, this year it will be for Cancer Research.
We have taken part in numerous sponsored events over the last few years – taking on the Three Peaks Challenge (for the younger fitter team members!) and Climbing Snowden for the (err…less fit!) and not forgetting the London Moonwalk in 2015.
This year Richard Bryan (who is usually to blame for suggesting these endeavours!) proposed the Walk All Over Cancer challenge to walk 10,000 steps per day throughout March to raise money for Cancer Research. That’s roughly five miles a day…quite a challenge for our desk-bound team!
We have twenty five team members signed up for this challenge, they will either be armed with pedometers or apps on their phones to keep a tally of their daily step count.
The idea is that they will be undertaking lunchtime walks around Godalming, so let’s hope the weather improves. There are plans for an office sweepstake on who will be the winning team member (although it’s not a competition!) who do you think looks the most dedicated out of this lot?
