Surrey accountancy firm hires Tax Investigations expert

Roffe Swayne have recently welcomed Jane Alsop to lead their tax investigation service as part of their growing tax team.

JanJane Alsop tax investigationse joins as Tax Investigations Adviser after working for HMRC for 30 years. Whilst with HMRC Jane specialised in enquiry work moving from local tax enquiries to work for HMRC’s Fraud Investigation Services on Code of Practice 9 Enquiries, which are non-criminal investigations led by HMRC. As our tax investigations expert, she will be looking after all tax investigation work for both individual and corporate clients. As well as working with other local professional firms who require support in this area.

Jane is also part of our team reviewing the impact of HMRC’s Making Tax Digital proposals on the firm’s clients.  We will be running a number of workshops for clients in preparation for this new digital initiative when details become clearer.

Outside work Jane is most likely to be found rowing on the River Thames. In addition to messing about with boats, Jane also enjoys walking, gardening and floristry.
