General Practice Partner
Providing accounting, tax and strategic advice to owner-managed businesses and partnerships.
Elaine Way joined Roffe Swayne in 1999 and has developed a wide portfolio of clients including manufacturers, solicitors, estate management and trusts. Her main focus is helping her clients to grow, whether by restructuring the business or by obtaining new funding, through Banks, invoice discounting companies or asset finance companies.
Elaine has a particular interest in dealing with accounts and SRA audits for solicitors’ practices, is a member of the specialist Solicitors Group within the ICAEW and works closely with Surrey based law practices to meet the complex SRA compliance regulations.
Elaine enjoys assisting owner managers of Surrey businesses by giving them the management information tools they need to be able to run their businesses more effectively. In addition to assisting with the year end accounts and audit requirements, management accounts are used to provide the monthly detail of income and expenditure to enable business owners to identify immediately any adverse fluctuations in sales or costs, so that they can take the necessary remedies at short notice. They also enable business owners to support any requests for third party finance, or any proposals for new business.
Heading up our company secretarial services, Elaine assists clients with statutory filing deadlines, changes of names, changes in the registered office, directors or shareholdings, preparing minutes of meetings and annual returns, and ensuring that your company is fully compliant with statutory requirements.
Elaine also looks after a number of personal tax clients, assisting them with the timely preparation of their tax returns, tax mitigation and planning for the future, with particular reference to inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning, and the use of trusts where applicable.
Outside of work Elaine’s interests include enjoying good food and wine, learning languages, spending time with her husband and Old English Sheepdog, babysitting for her grandchildren and the never ending job of trying to tame her garden.
