Roffe Swayne host a Charity 5-a-side football tournament in aid of Disability Challengers

Roffe Swayne held an inaugural 5 a side Football tournament last Friday and raised £1200 for local charity, Disability Challengers.

Sixteen teams from local businesses including banks, lawyers and Roffe Swayne clients, competed for the trophy. The event, organised by Roffe Swayne’s Paul West, took place at the Varsity Centre in Guildford.

Following a group stage, quarter finals and semi finals, Penningtons Solicitors found themselves up against BOC in the final. It was a nail biting finish as the score was levelled at 2-2 in the final seconds of full time. Extra time saw one more goal each and the winners, BOC, were eventually decided by a penalty shoot-out.

Roffe Swayne Partner Mark Leigh said, “It was a very successful evening and brought together over a hundred players from diverse local businesses. The participants thoroughly enjoyed themselves and it was very good to see so much support from colleagues and families.”
