Forget LANs and WANs, it was networking of a different variety on the agenda as Roffe Swayne and Barlow Robbins brought start-up Technology firms and potential investors together at a co-hosted event in the heart of Guildford.
The informal platform gave up and coming firms an opportunity to discuss issues critical to the future success of their business with those who have assisted or run similar companies in the past, and enabled investors to scout out potential future ventures.
The venue buzzed with discussions surrounding current market conditions and investment options, and the event was deemed a success by all in attendance.
In keeping with the new-tech theme of the evening the event heralded a new approach to advertising and obtaining feedback with the co-hosts adopting the use of Twitter and other social media outlets.
Mark Leigh, Corporate Finance partner at Roffe Swayne commented "the evening provided a useful forum for fledgling businesses to be able to talk to potential investors and successful entrepreneurs and we will be repeating the format in the future."
