Following a strong period of growth across the firm and the increased team members last year we are delighted to announce a raft of promotions in the Forensic and Audit teams.
Forensic Accounting promotion
The Forensic Accounting team have enjoyed a really busy year and Jessie King is promoted to Forensic Assistant Manager.
With Jessie’s broad range of forensic experience she has taken responsibility for producing a range of blogs and articles for the team. In December Jessie saved the day, proving her experience and knowledge with her first event. Jessie expertly ran a seminar for 20 solicitors when Kate Hart was called away at the last minute!
The Audit team have experienced continued growth throughout 2016, winning new audit assignments from a range of business sectors including technology, healthcare, recruitment and manufacturing businesses. As a result, the first six months of 2017 will be a particularly busy period for the audit team. These promotions ensure that we have the right structure to continue our growth and maintain our excellent client service standards.
Audit Director – Russell Chowney
Russell trained with Roffe Swayne. In the seven years he’s shown a passion for audit and has become a key figure in the audit team. Russell leads many of our recruitment and property group audits, as well as developing new audit specialisms, e.g. Grant audit work for clients operating in the technology sector.
Assistant Audit Director – David Lawrence
David joined Roffe Swayne four years ago, when he relocated to Surrey having previously qualified at Price Bailey. Having a great breadth of audit and non-audit knowledge, David works with many of our manufacturing and group clients. David is also a member of our technical committee and is keen to share his knowledge of the latest developments in audit with the rest of the team!
Audit Manager – Tim Glover
Tim initially started his ACA training with another practice before deciding to join Roffe Swayne four years ago to broaden his audit experience. Tim has a particular interest in our specialist regulated audit sectors, working with a number of the audit partners to develop our offering and win new audit clients in the financial services sector (FCA) and the travel sector (ABTA/ATOL).
Audit Supervisor – Sophie Passmore
Sophie had experience of forensic work before joining Roffe Swayne four years ago to train for ACA within our audit department. Sophie was recognised by the ICAEW for achieving exceptionally high marks in her Business Strategy Paper. Now working on many of our group audits Sophie has developed specialist skills in recruitment sector audits and our growing owner managed businesses.
