VAT for Charities

VAT can represent a significant extra cost to charities as they are seldom registered. To ensure you are aware of current rules and pitfalls we are delighted to invite you to a seminar at Ashcombe Court presented by Roffe Swayne’s VAT specialist, David Moll.

David will guide you through the topical issues of VAT for charitable organisations. He will cover:

  • Business or non-business - what's the difference?

  • Donations or sponsorship - what's best?

  • Use of trading companies

  • Input VAT

    maximising the use of zero-rating

    ensuring the right rate

    correct allocation of input VAT

  • VAT Planning - to avoid or not to avoid, that is the question

Tea and coffee will be available from 5pm. The presentation will begin at 5.30pm and will last for approximately one hour when you will be welcome to stay for drinks and canapés. This will also be an opportunity to ask David Moll any questions.

There is no charge made for this seminar, but to help with catering arrangements please email Jane Steel on jsteel@roffeswayne.com.
